CBM+
The Force possesses unique expertise and capability leading teams of equipment experts in applying Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) to physical assets. CBM is a very powerful failure management strategy that can be applied to physical assets because it allows impending failure to be identified before the failure occurs thereby allowing proactive action to be taken in enough time to manage the consequences of failure. Therefore, decreased availability and equipment readiness are avoided. In other words, the failure is handled on the equipment custodian’s terms – not the equipment’s terms.
CBM Adapt™ is software that is customized to support CBM analyses. The software accommodates the following that is identified during a CBM analysis:
- Identify the Failure Modes to be managed.
- Identify the potential failure conditions that can be monitored (if any) and the associated P-F Intervals.
- Identify how often the CBM task should be performed.
- Establish if it is practical to monitor at intervals less than the P-F interval.
- Establish if the P-F interval is long enough to manage the consequences of failure.
- Establish if the CBM task is worth doing.
- Prioritize Failure Modes for CBM implementation.
